(BGO) - Secretary of the Bac Giang provincial Party Committee Bui Van Hai directed providing all possible support for businesses at a conference recently hosted by the provincial Association of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises.
Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Bui Van Hai speaks at the conference.
Speaking at the event, Hai spoke highly of the association’s efforts over the past years, saying that it has well performed its role as a bridge between the authorities and businesses.
The province is improving business climate and developing firms, particularly private ones, he noted.
Last year, the province recorded nearly 1,000 newly-established businesses. The business community not only grows in number but also in size and registered capital, which proves that local business incentives are effective.
As challenges still lie ahead, companies need to actively seek opportunities to further stimulate manufacturing and trading, Hai said.
He expressed his hope that the association will continue upholding its bridge role to report arising obstacles faced by businesses to authorities, making it easier to offer them timely support and ensure their legitimate rights and interests.
Participants shared view that authorities at all levels need to assist businesses in site clearance and accelerating the progress of projects while the State and commercial banks should unleash more soft loans along the way.
With more than 500 members, the association has collected businesses’ feedback on local policies and mechanisms as well as attitude of staff at departments and agencies, offered legal assistance to firms to improve governance skills and seek markets.
It has also stepped up emulation and commendation, actively joined social and external activities, and maintained ties with relevant units.
The conference also saw the presence of Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Small and Medium Enterprises Pham Huy Hung./.
