NHO-QSCert grants a certificate for Truong Thanh Livestock Cooperative’s organic pork.
The Truong Thanh Livestock Cooperative was established in 2010 with eight members. It has raised pigs and breeding pigs, and supplied pork products. The cooperative’s pork products have high nutrients. The cooperative meets such criteria as raising its livestock in modern facilities with a layer made of bio materials on the floor; using organic food such as bran, maize, rice, and soy bean; and safe and hygiene slaughtering process.
The cooperative currently provides around 300 tonnes of pork per year, at the price ranging between 200,000– 230,000 VND (8.8 – 10.2 USD) per kilogram.
NHO-QSCert specialises in evaluating and appraising food quality, livestock products, and verifying imported products in accordance with international standards.
The certification of the organic pork creates favourable conditions for the Truong Thanh Livestock Cooperative to promote its products and sales.
The cooperative plans to expand its distribution network from 12 to 14 outlets both in and outside Bac Giang province.
