Japan provides non-refundable aid to Bac Giang to build Ben Mong bridge

(BGO) – The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (Youth Union) in Bac Giang province has received and executed the Project “Building Ben Mong Bridge” in Luc Son commune (Luc Nam district) from Japanese Government’s  non-refundable aid.  

Japan provides the aid to 5 projects across the provinces and cities in Vietnam with total expense of 380,000 USD, in which Bac Giang province received the aid to build Ben Mong bridge.

At the event.

The project is totally invested nearly 2 billion VND (nearly 85,000 USD), including 1.5 billion VND from Japanese Government’s aid and local investment.

As schedule, the construction will be started in May. It is expected to help reduce the risk of drowning; ease the travel demand for the villagers, especially in rainy season, accelerate the commodity transport and trade exchange to contribute to the local socio-economic development, poverty reduction and new style rural area building.

VN calls for further support from USAID to handle post-war consequences
Deputy Minister of Defence Nguyen Chi Vinh has asked for further coordination from the US Agency for International Development (USAID) to effectively carry out projects on settlement of post-war consequences in Vietnam.
