(BGO) - The Viet Yen district Land Fund and Industrial Cluster Development Center said as of February 16, it has completed site clearance and compensation payment for 237 out of 335 households with land or trees planted on forest land in 10 villages of Huong Mai and Trung Son communes.

Specifically, in Trung Son commune, compensation was paid to 191 households for a total area of 79.8 ha, while in Huong Mai commune, 46 out of 50 households received compensation for an area of 16.05 ha. At the same time, 379 out of 478 graves have been removed.
Up to now, the centre has completed the site clearance of 95.88 out of 140 ha for the Viet Yen golf course project, with total compensation worth over 74 billion VND (3.2 million USD).
Along with completing documents to change land use purposes and handing over clean land to the enterprise to implement the first phase of the project (putting into operation 18 holes in 2021), the center is cooperating with relevant agencies and local authorities give compensation to families, while promoting communications to create consensus among the people.
