19 billion VND disbursed for workers’ salary to support production recovery

(BGO) – Bac Giang branch of the Social Policy Bank (SPB) on July 27 held a ceremony to ink the loan credit contract to pay for labours’ salary during business suspension time and production recovery in line with the Government’s Resolution No.68/NQ-CP on July 1, 2021 and PM’s Decision No.23/2021/QD-TTg on July 7, 2021 that regulated about the implementation of several policies to assist employers and employees affected by Covid-19 pandemic.

The provincial branch of SPB signed the credit contracts with two enterprises of Bac Giang BGG Garment Corporation Joint Stock Company (BGG Garment JSC) and Bac Giang LGG Garment Corporation JSC (LGG Garment JSC) in Lang Giang district.

Accordingly, LGG Garment JSC got a loan of nearly 13.6 billion VND (594,000 USD) to pay July salary for 3,956 labourers (plan to loan in 3 months as regulation with over 40.7 billion VND) while BGG Garment JSC will borrow 5.5 billion VND to pay July salary for 1,163 employees (plan to borrow in 3 months as regulation with over 16.5 billion VND).

After the contract signing ceremony, the provincial branch of SPB disbursed immediately to the companies to pay for labourers’ salary so as to help them overcome the difficulties caused by Covid-19 and quickly recover the business and production activities.

In the upcoming time, the provincial branch of SPB continues inking credit contracts with other firms with total estimated disbursement of 300 billion VND in line with Government’s Resolution No.68.

Speaking at the event, Permanent Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Mai Son honored the provincial branch of SPB to actively launch programme to support business in Covid-19 difficult period and pressed that the action will timely provide them sources to pay salary in suspension time to recover the production and overcome the difficulties due to pandemic.

The meaningful deed aimed to help the province improve the investment business environment and investment attraction in the future. The provincial leader suggested the bank to further collaborate with relevant sectors to facilitate businesses affected by Covid-19 to get a loan as regulation.
