(BGO) – Amid the social distancing order imposed in many provincies and cities, implementing the instruction from the Ministry of Transport, Bac Giang provincial Department of Transport (DoT) set up special team in charge of granting priority card to identify local vehicles to “green lane” for their owners.
According to Hoang The Hanh, Head of the DoT’s Division of Transportation, Vehicle and Driver Management, the priority card is issued on the software of the Ministry of Transport. There are increasing numbers of registered documents.

To timely handle the procedure for the owners, especially those transporting donated farm produce and commodities to Covid-19 struck Southern localities, the Division assigned staff on duty regularly, sometimes 24 hours.
As of August 1, the province granted nearly 4,000 priority cards to “green lane”, including more than 2,400 cards for vehicles transporting and consuming farm produce of pig, chicken, custard apple, longan, vegetable, fruits...Because the agriculture products are easy to be rotten, the vehicles are granted with the card together with the sign of easily damaged goods so as to pass the checkpoints.

Now, it is the harvest season of several fruits and vegetables as well as pig and poultry. The farm produce are not only served local demand but also other provinces. The issuance of priority card helps timely transport the vehicles consuming the farmers’ products and restrict the loss.
