Bac Giang strives to disburse 60 percent of the public investment capital

(BGO) – So far, the project implementation value has hit over 3.8 trillion VND (166.7 million USD), the disbursement value has reached nearly 2.8 trillion VND (122.8 million USD), representing nearly 40 percent of the plan, reported the Department of Planning and Investment (DoPI) in Bac Giang province.

Particularly, the disbursement of central budget investment to sector and field hit 361.2 billion VND while the official development assistance (ODA) and provincial budget capital disbursed 6.5 billion VND and 2,296 billion VND respectively.

The construction progress of water drainage system at Dinh Tram industrial park is accelerated.

Duong Ngoc Chien, DoPI’s Vice Director, said 2021 is the first year the province has implemented the mid term public investment plan for the period 2021 – 2025 so the capital poured to newly executed projects increases against the figure in previous years.

Since early May at the fourth Covid-19 outbreak, Bac Giang has encountered a lots of unprecedented difficulties and challenges. The social distancing and isolation orders significantly affected the production and business activities including the basic construction investment.

Mean while, the procedures of auction, payment, disbursement for ODA projects required several steps, leading to low disbursement value comparing to the plan.

To recover the shortcoming, the province strives to disburse 60 percent of the capital plan assigned at the beginning of this year by September 30, 2021. Accordingly, the DoPI was assigned to consult and expedite the investors to promptly complete the investment procedures so as to specifically distribute the remaining public investment capital in 2021 plan.

Also, the DoPI must review and timely adjust 2021 capital plan from the projects which cannot disburse or slowly disburse the capital to those with good disbursement progress and demand for capital supplementation in 2021 plan.

The investors must speed uo the construction schedule, complete the inspection for acceptance and payment right after the volume of work fulfilled.

Bac Giang attracts 34 investment projects in 7 months

(BGO) – Bac Giang province attracted total investment of about 30.6 million USD in July 2021, accounting for 13.2 percent and 775.94 million USD in seven months, making up 87 percent comparing to the figure at the same period last year.
