(BGO) – The export turnover in Bac Giang province hit about 1.5 billion USD in October, up over two times comparing to the figure in May and June when the province was the Covid hot spot in the country and 11.5 billion USD in ten months, representing 102.7 percent against 2020 value, reported the provincial Department of Industry and Trade (DoIT)
The result helped Bac Giang consecutively enter the list of top leading provincies and cities nationwide in September and October in term of export turnover reaching over one billion USD, including Bac Ninh, Bac Giang, Hai Phong, Hanoi, Binh Duong...

According to DoIT Vice Director Pham Cong Toan, the achievement was gained thanks to the great efforts of all enterprises in production and business activities as well as local authority’s good implementation of forecasting, managing and flexibly handling difficulties for the companies.

As of October 8, 377 companies in the provincial industrial parks and 221 businesses in the industrial clusters resumed operation with 186,928 and 47,722 workers respectively as well as nearly 2,000 firms outside of the industrial parks and clusters.
This year, Bac Giang strives to gain export value of 14.8 billion USD, rising 32.2 percent year on year. To full fill the target, the DoIT has further supported the businesses to access the market; assigned staff to directly participate in the import-export procedure and assisted them in logistic service.
