(BGO) - On March 1, the People's Committee of Bac Giang province held a three-level teleconference to announce and implement the provincial planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050.
The planning gives development orientations, arranges space and allocates resources for socio-economic activities in sync with the national planning; while ensuring the linkage, exploitation and effective use of the existing infrastructure system between sectors and inter-district regions and localities in the province. It also identifies specific areas used for military, defense and security purposes at the provincial and inter-district levels.

The planning is made based on an integrated, multi-dimensional and multi-sector approach, ensuring the requirements in terms of science, suitability, practicality and application of modern technology.
Accordingly, by 2030, Bac Giang sets a goal of rapid, comprehensive and sustainable development. Industry will be the main driving force for growth associated with new space development, making Bac Giang one of the industrial development centers of the region. The province will develop diverse services with breakthroughs. By 2050, Bac Giang strives to become a modern industrial province with comprehensive and sustainable development.
To implement the planning, the provincial People's Committee sets out a number of key tasks from the perspective of departments, agencies and localities in accordance with their assigned functions and tasks and the contents of the planning to actively propose measures to realise the tasks in line with law.
It is necessary to determine specific steps and roadmaps for planning schemes of sectors and fields; develop investment and land use plans in accordance with the plans for development of sectors and fields in each period. The province will clearly define resources and solutions to implement the planning. In the implementation organization process, it must be proactive, creative and flexible, with close and harmonious coordination between departments, agencies and localities.
Specifically, before March 31, 2022, agencies and localities must develop and issue action programmes and plans as well as specific documents to implement the planning, including clearly defining the objectives, tasks, and implementation schedule; and report the implementation results to the Department of Planning and Investment before October 20 every year.

Speaking at the event, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Le Anh Duong said that being the first province in the country to have its planning approved by the Prime Minister is the honor of Bac Giang as well as the result of the continuous efforts of the whole political system.
In order to implement the planning effectively, he emphasised the need to publicize the planning so that the whole Party and people can see the aspirations of the province; urgently review and adjust sectoral, district and regional plannings to ensure consistency with the general planning; mobilize and free up resources, continue to strongly improve the business and investment environment; focus on site clearance to attract large investment projects; and promote digital transformation.
