It realizes that Bac Giang is a locality with potential for renewable energy development, especially wind power.

The development of this energy source will solve the current shortage of electricity. The unit wishes to participate in cooperation in implementing wind power development projects in Bac Giang province.

Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Phan The Tuan presents gifts to the delegation of the Dutch Embassy.

So far, seven big investors have applied to survey and made planning for 10 wind power projects in Son Dong, Luc Ngan, Luc Nam and Yen Dung districts with a total registered capacity of 700 MW. However, the Power Development Plan VIII is yet to be approved, so the province only allows investors to survey and install wind turbines for project making.

The provincial official said Bac Giang, which is on the way of development with a high economic growth, has large demand for electricity while wind power development is being encouraged by the Vietnamese Government. Therefore, he asked Dutch businesses to research and learn carefully about survey sites in Bac Giang province in order to avoid overlaps with other units, ensuring implementation efficiency.
