(BGO)- On May 24, Amy Wee, Country Head (Vietnam) of Singapore Business Federation (SBF) and other delegates paid a working visit to Bac Giang province to discuss the plan to cooperate and seek investment opportunities in Bac Giang province. Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Le Anh Duong received the delegation.
On behalf of the provincial leaders, Chairman Le Anh Duong briefed the guests on potentials and advantages of the province. In recent 3 years, Bac Giang has been in top nationwide in economic growth, the Chairman informed. The province’s economic scale ranks 15th out of 63 provinces and cities.

In coming time, Bac Giang targets to become a modern industrial province and center for industrial development of the region. More than 10,000 hectares of land have been put into planning for industrial development in the next 10 years. By 2030, Bac Giang will strive to become an industrial province with 29 industrial parks (IPs) covering a total area of about 7,000 hectares including 20 newly planned IPs.

The provincial Chairman Le Anh Duong stressed, Singapore is one of the biggest trade partners to Bac Giang’s enterprises. He hoped Singaporean enterprises will continue seeking investment opportunities in the province. Besides, he expected SBF to connect big corporations to invest in building super markets, hotels and entertainment centers. Especially, investing in farm produce intensive processing, high-tech and environmentally friendly industrial production.

Amy Wee thanked for warm welcome by the provincial leaders and informed that SBF is responsible for investigating and providing necessary and useful information for Singaporean enterprises. SBF currently has 27,000 member businesses.
Amy Wee stressed, Bac Giang has big potentials to lure Singaporean investors. SBF will introduce several prestigious and giant corporations to invest in Bac Giang province for economic development while connecting Vietnamese and Bac Giang’s enterprises to bring goods to or invest in Singapore. Amy wee requested the province to organize a seminar to introduce its potentials right in this year and invite Singaporean enterprises to attend.
