Vietnam’s industrial production up 8.3% in five-month period

The index of industrial production (IIP) in the first five months of 2022 rose by 8.3% over the same period last year, on top of May’s increase of 10.4% from a year earlier.

According to the General Statistics Office (GSO), manufacturing climbed 9.2% while electricity generation and distribution went up 5.5%. The mining industry rose 4.1% while water supply and waste treatment edged up 2.5%.

The manufacturing sector increased by 9.2% in the first five months of 2022.

Several key industries recorded higher growth than the same period last year, including clothes, electricity equipment, leather products, electronic products, computers, and optical devices.

Industrial production continued its recovery trend following the successful containment of Covid-19 throughout Vietnam.

The IIP rose in 61 out of 63 provinces and cities, with strong growth seen in the provinces of Bac Giang, Ha Giang, Binh Phuoc, Quang Nam, Bac Ninh, and Thanh Hoa.

The GSO also reported that the number of employees working in industrial enterprises as of May 1 rose 1.4% over the previous month and 4.4% compared the same month last year.

Bac Giang’s industrial production keeps growth momentum

(BGO) - In the last months of 2021 and early 2022, the industrial production value of Bac Giang province increased sharply. This result showed that enterprises not only recovered quickly when the Covid-19 epidemic was brought under control, but also continued to expand production and business, making strong breakthroughs.

 

Bac Giang: Industrial production value up 31 percent in January

(BGO) - In January 2022, the industrial production value (IPV) in Bac Giang province continued quick and stable recovery. Most of the businesses had positive growth, especially big electronic component manufacturers in the industrial parks.

 

Industrial production index up 2.4 percent in January

Vietnam’s industrial production index (IPI) in January rose by 2.4 percent year-on-year, the General Statistics Office (GSO) reported.

 

The industrial production value hits over 1.5 billion USD

(BGO) – The industrial production value in Bac Giang province (actual value) hit over 35.8 trillion VND (1.5 billion USD) in January 2022, increasing 4.7 percent against the figure last month and 31 percent year on year, reported the Department of Industry and Trade

 

Bac Giang ensures sufficient power supply for industrial production

(BGO) – The northern province of Bac Giang has been approved for new industrial parks and clusters as well as expanded ones. To meet the power demand for industrial production, the competent agencies has accelerated the investment to construct local power grid system.
