(BGO) – The construction contractor has currently concentrated man power and machines to construct items under the expanding and upgrading project of the frontage road on the left of national road No.1 from the intersection of national road No.31 to Hung Vuong interchange in Bac Giang city (Bac Giang province) so as to open Hung Vuong overpass to traffic before this September 2.
The provincial Management Board for traffic and agriculture construction investment projects was selected as the project investor and consortium of Hanoi based Thuan An Joint Stock Company and 379 Construction and Investment Joint Stock Company as the contractor of the above mentioned project.

The construction started at February 2022 with major items to expand Hung Vuong overpass up to 4 meters in both side (the bridge is widened up to 22 meters from 16 meters) as well as the road with total execution cost of over 79 billion VND from the provincial budget.
So far, 16 out of 22 spans of the bridge surface have been concreted. Recently, the contractor has arranged enough materials and machine with nearly 100 labours to work overtime at night to complete the remaining items and strive to open the intersection of Hung Vuong overpass to traffic before September 2, three months ahead the set schedule.
To ensure the traffic safety for commuters, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee ordered the project investor to direct the construction contractor to sufficiently install traffic signs, arrange permanent staff to regulate the traffic and instruct the people in line with the approved programme.
The provincial Public Security Department and municipal People’s Committee were urged to direct competent forces to be on duty and patrol so as to collaborate and guide the traffic vehicles and strictly punish any violator.
