Bac Giang well issues and controls growing area codes

(BGO) – The People’s Committee in Bac Giang province has issued document urging the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD, People’s Committee in the districts and city to well issue and control the growing area code (GAC).

Particularly, the DARD was assigned to chair the task of granting and managing the GAC in line with the regulation; instruct the procedure of GAC issuance for the district, city, organization and individual on demand; cooperate with competent agencies to define the prioritized crops depending on specific condition of each locality.

Besides, the DARD is in charge of directing the competent agencies to well inspect, supervise the GAC issuance, management and usage; timely detect and punish violated cases.

The People’s Committee in the districts and city order Division of Agriculture and Rural Development or Economic Division to establish the document proposing for issue GAC and manage it in local area as regulation.

Moreover, local authority should provide training course to enhance the awareness of organizations and individuals about the GAC; regularly inspect and supervise the usage of GAC to ensure the requirement for origin traceability if needed; timely detect and report to higher level about any violation…

Two lychee growing area codes granted to export to Thailand

(BGO) - On authorization of Thailand competent agency, the Department of Plant Production and Protection issued two more lychee growing area codes (GAC) for export, reported Plant Production and Protection Division in Bac Giang province.

 

Tan Yen separates lychee growing area code for export

(BGO) – Phuc Hoa commune, Tan Yen district (Bac Giang province) now has grown 600 ha of early ripening lychee which has been granted a growing area code (GAC) since 2018.

(BGO) – This year, Luc Ngan district (Bac Giang province) planned to develop more than 15,700 ha of lychee, including nearly 2,800 ha of early ripening lychee and remaining areas of main season and late ripening fruits.
