Dong Son industrial cluster established in Yen The

(BGO) – The People’s Committee in Bac Giang province has decided to establish Dong Son industrial cluster (IC) in Yen The district.

Accordingly, Dong Son IC covers 25 hectares in Dong Son commune. It borders to residential area of Dong Kenh village of Dong Son commune to the North, Thuong river to the South, East and West.

Garment is one among the fields attracted to Dong Son industrial cluster.

It expects to lure various fields such as agro forestry processing, electronic manufacturing, garment and textile, supporting industry (excluding paper recycling and production and sectors with much waste water and high risk of environmental pollution).

The total cost of the project is 257 billion VND (10.4 million USD). Duy Khanh Paper and Package Production Company Limited acts as investor of technical infrastructure who will make detail planning, feasibility research report, construction drawing, environmental impact assessment report and change the purpose of rice growing land from the quarter 4 of 2022 to quarter 2 of 2023.

Also, the investor plans to compensate for land clearance, start construction of technical infrastructure and concentrated waste water treatment station as well as lure sub-investors for production and business from quarter 2, 2023 to quarter 2, 2024.

As schedule, the project technical infrastructure will be completed from quarter 2, 2024 to quarter 4, 2024 with at least 60 percent of land fully occupied. The project validity is within 50 years.

Bac Giang: Industrial production value up 50.9 percent in nine months

(BGO) – The industrial production value in Bac Giang province is estimated at 36,330 billion VND (1.5 billion USD) in September 2022, up 8.5 percent against last month figure and 307,240 billion VND in the first nine months, increasing 50.9 percent year on year and accounting for 83.9 percent of yearly plan.

The industrial production index (IPI) in September increased 7.6 percent against previous month while the nine-month index went up 44.2 percent year on year.

Industrial production recovers quickly with growth of 9.4% in eight months

The index of industrial production (IIP) in the first eight months of 2022 surged 9.4% over the same period last year, according to the General Statistics Office (GSO).
