(BGO) – The Department of Statistics (DoS) in Bac Giang
province on December 28 held a press conference to announce the statistics of
local socio-economy in 2022.
The DoS Director Dong Van Sung said amid many difficulties and challenges, the high finalization of leadership and direction from the Party Committee, People’s Council and People’s Committee together with the solidarity, high determination and flexibility in management of the authority at all levels and consensus of people at all stratas and businesses helped the province gain prominent and comprehensive results in every aspect.

The Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) in 2022 hit highest value ever of over 103,400 billion VND (4.4 billion USD), increasing 19.3 percent year on year and ranking second across the nation.
The growth rate mostly was industry and construction (26.65 percent), service (7.49 percent), agro-forestry-fishery (1.97 percent) among others.
The increase of industrial production index was estimated at 31.51 percent comparing to the same period last year. This achievement was gained thanks to the production expansion from electronic companies, smooth consumption of product, more preferential taxation policies offered to business to enhance the labour productivity.

Vice Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Ha Minh Quy said the annual plant cultivation area reduced about 3,000 hectares because of switching the crop structure, changing the land use purpose to implement different projects of traffic, industrial park and cluster.
Regarding the high growth rate in construction amid delayed disbursement of public investment capital, the DoS said total investment capital in the province was about nearly 74 trillion VND with only 16.02 percent from state so the sector still witnessed high growth.

International cooperation in vocational education and skill development(BGO) – On
December 9, Bac Giang Vietnam – Korean Vocational College of Technology (VK
Tech) inked cooperative agreement on vocational education and skill development
in 2023 – 2027 period with Australian College of Tourism and
Information Technology (ACTIT) and Ho Chi Minh city based Festo
Company Limited (Festo).
Bac Giang creates breakthroughs in development of OCOP products(BGO) – To
enhance quality and value of farm produce in associated with developing
products under One Commune One Product programme (OCOP), the Standing Committee
of the Party Committee in Bac Giang province (PPC) assigned the provincial
Farmers’ Association (PFA) to implement the project “The PFA at all levels play
core role in agriculture production
toward cooperation, linkage in value chain and improvement of OCOP
products in 2022 – 2025 period” (Project) in early 2022.
Luc Ngan aims at stable development of citrus trees(BGO)- Apart from lychee, farmers in Luc Ngan
district, Bac Giang province have also invested to develop citrus trees in
recent years. Thanks to high intensive farming and accurate response to market
fluctuation, a number of farmers have gained high income from orange and pomelo.
Breakthrough in industrial development(BGO)
– In 2022, the industrial production of Bac Giang province continues strong
recovery momentum as the main driving force for economic growth. The industrial
production index (IPI) in September increased 7.6 percent against previous
month while the nine-month index went up 44.2 percent year on year.
Luc Ngan improves citrus quality in associated with tourism development(BGO) –
Recently, the owners of orange and pomelo gardens in Luc Ngan district (Bac
Giang province) have actively cared for the trees and beautified the gardens to
welcome visitors. Promoting the results of previous years, Luc Ngan district
continues cooperating with competent sectors to connect and launch trade and
tourism promotion event toward product introduction and consumption.
