(BGO) – According to Railway Transport & Trading Joint Stock Company (Vietnam Railways - VNR), 5 trains have transported goods to China via Kep international intermodal railway station in Lang Giang district (Bac Giang province) after more than one week of launching the service.
Major freights at Kep station included peeled wood, electronic component and zinc oxide of over 5 tonnes. VNR plans to set up trains and receive international intermodal freight trains to and from European, China and Russia.

Currently, VNR has urgently completed fire prevention and fighting procedure to propose the General Department of Customs issuing a location code for customs clearance at Kep station, which will be done in March 2023.

After the code issuance, Kep station operates an average of 1.5-2 pairs of international intermodal trains per day on the Kep - Dong Dang – Pingxiang route and one pairs of trains per day on North - South route.
