More than 200 Chinese traders register to come and buy Bac Giang lychee

(BGO) – Currently, more than 200 Chinese traders have registered to enter Vietnam and visit Bac Giang province to supervise the material area, ink lychee purchase contract, reported Bac Giang Center of Industrial Encouragement and Trade Promotion (Center).     

They plan to immigrate in Vietnam in late May and visit the province to buy early ripening lychee.

In 2023, the province has 29,700 hectares of lychee with estimated output of over 180,000 tonnes. As schedule, the harvest season will last from May 20 to July 30. Bac Giang has 110 growing area codes (GAC) on over 16,000 hectares and 215 qualified packaging facilities of fresh lychee to export to China. Bac Giang lychee has high quality, good looking so it is widely preferred by Chinese customers.

Duo to Covid-19 pandemic in 2021 and 2022, few Chinese traders came to the province to buy the fruits. This year, the direct participation of Chinese traders will help facilitate the fruit consumption.

So far, the Center has inked 34 memoranda of understanding with whole sale markets of farm produce, electronic commercial platform, supermarkets and businesses to sell lychees.

Over 300,000 USD invested in plastic basket production line to serve lychee season

(BGO) – To meet the market demand in 2023 lychee season, Loi Lien Plastic Company Limited in Quy Son commune, Luc Ngan district (Bac Giang province) has invested nearly 7 billion VND (over 300,000 USD) to install three plastic basket production lines with total capacity of 10,000 pieces per day and night.

(BGO) – Recently, the farmers in Luc Ngan district (Bac Giang province) have focused on caring for the lychee. The competent agencies have well managed the growing area code for export  and actively implemented trade promotion event to boost product consumption.

 

Agreement inked between Phuc Hoa commune and business to consume early ripening lychee

(BGO) – The People’s Committee in Phuc Hoa commune of Tan Yen district (Bac Giang province) has inked agreement with Hanoi based Bein Joint Stock Company to export early ripening lychees.

 

Bac Giang actively links and renovates lychee promotion consumption

(BGO) – The favourable weather condition this year and high intensive cultivation techiques are resulted in a bumper lychee harvest in the third consecutive year. Local authority and farmers in Bac Giang province have paid due attention to linkage for the special fruit’s huge output in short harvest season.

 

Bac Giang urges to transport lychee by train

(BGO) – The delegation of Luc Ngan district (Bac Giang province) led by Vice Chairman of the district People’s Committee Nguyen The Thi has worked with Railway Transport and Trading Joint Stock Company (Ratraco) under Vietnam Railways about lychee transport programme in 2023 via Kep station in Lang Giang district.
