65 firms and seven localities honoured for outstanding performance in digital transformation

A total of 65 firms and seven localities with 79 digital products and solutions were honoured with the Industry 4.0 (I4.0) Awards for their outstanding performance in digital transformation at a ceremony held in Hanoi on May 27.

Prominent among the award-winning enterprises, which were selected from 180 nominees across the country, are Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group, mobile carrier MobiFone, Petrovietnam Drilling and Well Service Corp, and Thanh Thanh Cong Bien Hoa Company.

65 firms and seven localities honoured for outstanding performance in digital transformation.

The seven honouring localities were Da Nang, Hai Phong, Thua Thien-Hue, Quang Ninh, Thai Nguyen, Bac Giang and Ben Tre. The provinces and cities were recognised for their success in organising and proactively implementing the fourth industrial revolution and the national digital transformation programme.

The awards, the second of its kind, were co-organised by the Vietnam Automation Association and the Innovation and Digital Transformation Institute (the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations) under the sponsor of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Science and Technology, and Ministry of Information and Communications.

The event aimed to evaluate the outcomes of implementing digital transformation, and innovation among organisations and businesses, thus promoting their digital transformation for the development of the digital economy.

It also provided a venue for businesses to learn and share experiences in building and promoting smart factories, digital factories, smart production, technological research, thus helping to improving their product quality, productivity, and business administration capacity.

Bac Giang pays due attention to training human resources for digital transformation
