BAC GIANG - In 2023, the provincial Management Board of Industrial and Civil Engineering Construction and Investment Projects was assigned to be the investor of 20 projects. Among the projects, there are eight transitional projects; 10 new projects launched in 2023; and two projects waiting for capital allocation by competent authorities.

Of the eight transitional projects, three are under construction and expected to be completed, handed over and put into use in 2024; and five have been handed over and put into use, including the projects to expand the Medical Centers of Viet Yen, Luc Ngan and Yen Dung districts, the project to expand the Bac Giang Oncology Hospital, and the project to build facilities for a number of high schools and ethnic boarding schools in Luc Ngan, Luc Nam and Yen Dung district.
Currently, contractors are speeding up construction progress, ensuring quality, labor safety and environmental sanitation for three unfinished transitional projects and seven out of 10 new projects launched in 2023, including those to build the provincial Cultural and Exhibition Center; expand the Medical Centre of Luc Nam district; and build the new inter-agency building in Bac Giang province.
According to the Management Board, although it rained a lot in March and April, and especially severe cold combined with drizzle hit the province in recent days, the contractors still overcame difficulties and arranged enough human resources to work overtime.
The investors have closely supervised, and coordinated with relevant units to quickly resolve all technical problems. As a result, these projects are all 1-3 months ahead of schedule.
To ensure the construction progress of projects and disbursement of public investment capital in 2023, Nguyen Van Man, Deputy Director of the Management Board, said that the unit will focus on directing and urging the contractors to speed up construction progress, especially for large and key projects.
It has regularly dispatched construction management and supervision personnel to the construction sites to ensure progress, labor safety, fire and explosion prevention, and environmental sanitation.
It will complete the preparation of feasibility study reports to submit for appraisal and approval for projects about to be invested between now and 2024. The Management Board will proactively coordinate with relevant units to well carry out the compensation work to have clean grounds to carry out construction projects according to the approved schedule. It strives to disburse 100% of this year's assigned capital plan before December 31, 2023.
