Luc Ngan lychee is sold at high price in Japan

(BGO) – According to the Center of Industrial Encouragement and Trade Promotion (Department of Industry and Trade in Bac Giang province), the enterprises exporting Vietnamese fresh lychee to Japan has informed that Luc Ngan lychee was sold out after few hours at the supermarket chains in Tokyo capital and Osaka pefecture on the first selling day (June 21).

Now, the supermarkets in Japan only keep a small quantity for promotion at various events. The fresh lychee was sold at 180 – 270,000 VND (7.76 - 11.64 USD) per kg in Japanese market.

Currently, 5 tonnes of Luc Ngan lychee are on the seaway and will arrive Japan in few days to serve the local demand.

As schedule, this year Bac Giang province will export about 100 tonnes of fresh lychee in Luc Ngan district to Japan by sea and air.

Managing Director of Aeon Company Limited Soichi Okazaki highly evaluates the quality of Vietnamese lychee.

The local competent agencies have coordinated with Japanese experts to review, instruct and supervise strictly the procedures of production, harvest and preservation of fresh lychee in Luc Ngan district to meet the requirement from such demanding market.

Lychee enjoys smooth consumption, 70,000 tonnes of fruits sold
(BGO) – The Department of Industry and Trade in Bac Giang province informed that this year the lychee consumption is smooth with total consumed output of 70,000 tonnes of fruits sold at average price of 20 – 48,000 VND (0.86 – 2.07 USD) per kg since early season, mostly in Luc Ngan district (34,000 tonnes); Tan Yen district (over 15,000 tonnes); Luc Nam district (nearly 12,000 tonnes); Yen The district (nearly 8,000 tonnes)...
