(BGO) – The People’s Committee in Luc Ngan district (Bac Giang province) organized Luc Ngan fair for orange, pomelo and signature products in 2020 (Fair) from November 20 – 22 with 180 booths to showcase and sell fruits, signature products, commercial services and high quality Vietnamese products.
This year event was attended by the districts and city in the province as well as localities in other provinces of Lang Son, Quang Ninh, Thai Nguyen, Ha Noi... The local authority also opened online trading platform for Luc Ngan specialties, introduced tours, showcased high quality Vietnamese products, auctioned farm produces together with various attractive activities.

On behalf of provincial leader, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Le O Pich affirmed that the Fair is a big commercial promotion event and platform to exchange, share and cooperate to link the supply – demand chain among the businesses, tradesmen and cooperatives while orienting to develop ecological and orchard tourism in close connection with spiritual culture as well as boosting up the farm produce promotion to create more income to the local farmers.
It is an unique festival of economy – culture and tourism in Luc Ngan district with a good imprint left on friends and visitors. Bac Giang province always pays due attention to seeking, developing, expanding the markets for farm produce via the trade promotion programmes to build the linkage chain for product consumption.
Within the event, the typical products of sweet pomelo tree, sweet orange tree, yellow flesh orange tree and 4 high quality fruits were auctioned for nearly 370 million VND (16,000 USD) to donate for the district Fund for the poor. Various activities of competition for beautiful booth and quality fruits... created good impression and attracted a lot of visitors and people.

The cooperatives, businesses and Luc Ngan farmers sold more than 900 tonnes of quality orange and pomelo together with numerous key products. The Fair welcomed more than 300 delegations of foreign and domestic visitors with more than 250,000 tourist arrivals to visit the landscape, experience the tour and buy the products.
According to the Chairman of Luc Ngan district People’s Committee La Van Nam, taking lessons from previous events, this year Fair was successfully organized with many good impression on the business, visitors and people. It also created huge attraction to the press agencies, visitors and tradesmen, helping accelerate the linkage for production and consumption of local fruits and key products as well as gradually tapping the tourism potentials.
