Previously, this batch of lychee was purchased by Pacific Foods Joint Stock Company from the Hong Xuan Agricultural Production and General Service Cooperative in Hong Giang Commune (Luc Ngan).

This is one of the lychee growing areas granted a code by the Plant Protection Department under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. Provincial and district professional staff regularly joined farmers in monitoring and guiding the caring and harvesting processes under VietGAP and GlobalGAP standards.

After being harvested, lychees had their stalks cut, and were packed and transported to the Noi Bai Plant Quarantine Station under the Region 5 Plant Quarantine Sub-Department to carry out export procedures.

Amid the complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic, with high political determination, Luc Ngan district focused on protecting the lychee area from Covid-19. With a strict process from caring, harvesting to packaging, and compliance with epidemic prevention and control measures, the district has well protected the lychee area, with the product consumed everywhere across the country and exported to foreign countries.

Especially, for lychees shipped to fastidious markets such as Japan, the US and the EU, exporters strictly followed regulations from purchasing, packing to shipping. All batches of Luc Ngan lychee, whether for domestic consumption or export, have obtained Covid-19-free certificates.

It is expected that this year Pacific Foods Joint Stock Company will export 100 tons of Luc Ngan lychee to Europe.
