(BGO) – According to Bui Huy Hoang, Director of Vietnam e-Commerce and Digital Economy Agency (IDEA) under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, from June 21, farmers in several provinces including Bac Giang get assistance to sell farm produce directly to customers in the provinces and cities of Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, Da Nang, Can Tho, Dong Nai and Tien Giang.
As part of activities within the framework of the cooperation programme "Vietnamese products e-stall" between the Sendo e-commerce platform and the IDEA, the programme has selected various products on harvest season to be sold on the Sendo e-commerce platform, including Bac Giang lychee, Vinh Long purple sweet potato, Hai Duong lychee, Son La plum and Dak Lak avocado.

This is the first time that farmers have built their own "brand" to consume agricultural products in the digital environment.
As the message of this market is "from the garden to the table", the orders of farm products by customers will be harvested by farmers from the growing area, packed according to the specifications under the guidance of the specialist, and shipped directly to the buyers. There is no intermediate stage, so the products have both attractive pricing and high freshness.

The activity continues the success of the programme to join hands in consuming Bac Giang lychee via "Vietnamese products e-stall" on Sendo in early June which helped Bac Giang farmers sell more than 130 tonnes of lychee by effectively using livestream technology.
