61 OCOP products certified in 2021

(BGO) - The provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Bac Giang province (DoARD) on December 27 organized an event to announce Decision of Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee and award certificates to 61 OCOP products in 2021.

Despite impact of Covid-19 pandemic, OCOP (one commune, one product) programme has gained comprehensive results thanks to close direction of the provincial Party Committee and People’s Committee in line with smooth collaboration of the departments, sectors and localities.

61 out of 63 entries have been recognized 3-star title or higher by the Jury of OCOP evaluation, classification (the highest result ever), exceeding the plan by 174 percent in which 12 products were certified with 4 stars or more and the others were 3 –star products.

By the end of 2021, the province has 155 OCOP certified, jumping to the 2nd position in northern midland and mountainous region and ranking 7th nationwide in terms of the number of OCOP products.

In addition to evaluating and classifying, DoARD supported to bring more than 100 OCOP products to take part in virtual reality exhibition at Vietnam Agriculture Digital Transformation Forum jointly held by Vietnam Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. The products were also sold on e-commerce platforms such as Voso, san24h, shopee and tiki; thus the products were smoothly consumed amid the pandemic.

In order to reach the targets of getting additional 25 to 30 products certified 3 stars or more, 5 to 10 products upgraded star titles and at least 1 product certified 5 stars at national level in 2022, DOARD will continue joining hands to foster propaganda to raise awareness of the sectors, levels, people and participants about the purposes and meaning of the programme, thereby developing the local products.

Besides, they will pay attention to establishing and completing the linkage chains of production and consumption to enhance quality of OCOP products to meet increasing market demand.

116 OCOP products qualified at least three stars

(BGO) – As of November 11, 2021, Bac Giang province had 116 products of One Commune One Product Programme (OCOP) upgraded to four star from three star product including 34 four star (29.31 percent) and 82 three star ones (70.69 percent). It helped the province rank third in Northern mountainous region (only after Ha Giang and Bac Kan provinces) and twelfth nationwide.  

 

Four star OCOP product of informatics engineer

(BGO) – Born in 1994 in a family with two children on a difficult village of Dong Son, Dong Hung commune, Luc Nam district (Bac Giang province), Ong The Dung decided to stay in Hanoi to pursue a startup in 2016 after graduating from Hanoi Industrial University, Faculty of Informatics. And by accident, he knew about the cordyceps, a healthy product.

(BGO) – Currently, Luu Chanh Herbal Production Cooperative in Truong Son commune, Luc Nam district (Bac Giang province) has linked to build material area of yellow flower tea on about 20 ha. To meet the market demand, the Cooperative invested in modern processing line. 

 

22 new OCOP products certified

(BGO)- Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee of Bac Giang province has approved the results of the evaluation, classification and certification of 22 products participating the first One Commune One Product (OCOP) Programme of Bac Giang province in 2021.

 

Yen The diversifies OCOP products

(BGO) – Implementing One Commune One Product (OCOP) programme, so far Yen The district (Bac Giang province) has had 15 agricultural products with protected brand and approval decision for valid application by National Office of Intellectual Property Vietnam (Ministry of Science and Technology) as well as 15 OCOP products at provincial level. The following ones are some typical products.
