Bac Giang digitalizes lychee production areas

(BGO) – The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development in Bac Giang province cooperated to several localities to digitalize 43 lychee production areas (37 in Luc Ngan, 3 in Luc Nam, 4 in Tan Yen and 1 in Song Dong) with total area of 430ha in this season.

The selected areas are concentrated ones covering at least 10ha and following safe procedure.

The lychee orchard in Hoa village, Cam Son commune (Luc Ngan district).

According to the Plant Protection and Production Division (under the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development), the Division has cooperated with competent agencies to accelerate the data selection such as address, area code, area, production procedure, product quality, e-record…, which is expected to complete on lychee consumption this year.

Digitalizing lychee production area is within the Project to support the development of sustainable fruit production in Bac Giang in the period 2021 – 2025 with assisted rate of five million VND per area.

When the fruit cultivation area is digitalized, the state authorities, farm produce processing and consuming businesses and customers can easily search for product quality, inspect and trace the origin, hence raising the responsibility of growers as well as the level of Bac Giang lychee trademark and widening consumption and export markets.

The province strives to digitalize to 262 lychee growing areas by 2025.

Phuc Hoa early ripening lychee earns consumption contract with selling price of 30,000 VND per kg

(BGO) –The High-tech Application Center for Plant and Export (Hanoi city) has recently committed to support in caring procedure then buy all lychees grown under GlobalGAP standard in Phuc Hoa commune, Tan Yen district (Bac Giang province) for export, confirmed Ngo Van Tiep, Chairman of Phuc Hoa commune People’s Committee.

(BGO) – To help lychees meet export requirements, along with supporting and coordinating lychee growers to follow the right care processes, professional agencies and local authorities in Bac Giang province are actively reviewing and managing growing area and packing facility codes.

 

Bac Giang to receive five more lychee growing area codes for Japanese market

(BGO) – Bac Giang province plans to cultivate about 28,000 ha of lychee with estimated productivity of 160,000 tonnes of fruits in 2022, including over 6,750 ha of early ripening lychee and 21,250 ha of main season fruit, reported the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (Department).

 

Cost reducing invention in lychee cultivation

(BGO) – When I sat on the wagon, Hanh pressed the button to control it up the hill. Just three minutes later, we presented on the top of the lychee hill without any sweat. It was the experience about the wagon invented by Tran Duc Hanh (born in 1968) in Thai Hoa village, Phuc Hoa commune, Tan Yen district (Bac Giang province) with the name “Wagon system supports lychee transportation, production and harvest”.

 

Lychee crop enjoys high flowering rate
