(BGO) - The favorable weather
condition this year helps lychee have high flowering and fruit bearing rate in
Bac Giang province particularly over 95 percent for early ripening lychee and
75 percent for main lychee season (3-5 percent higher than the figure last
year), reported the provincial Plant Production and Protection Division.
The survey at Tan Yen and Luc Ngan district proved that the early ripening lychees are bearing baby fruit with high rate of 90 percent in total growing area while the rate of the main season lychee is estimated at 70 to 75 percent.

The harvest time will be May 25 to June 5 for early ripening lychee and June 5 to July 10 for official fruit.
The competent agencies and local authorities have actively recommended and instructed farmers to prevent worm and disease.
The province has developed 28,300 ha of lychee this year with estimated output of 160,000 tonnes.
The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has cooperated with relevant bodies to attract and work with businesses about lychee export.

Bac Giang strengthens cooperation to bring lychee to US market(BGO) - On March
29, the Bac Giang provincial People's
Committee coordinated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to organize an
online conference to connect trade and promote consumption of lychee and other
products of Bac Giang province in
the US market in 2022. The event was
connected from the
headquarters of the provincial
People's Committee, the US Embassy in Vietnam, the Vietnam Trade
Office in the US
and many enterprises, domestic and international trade centers.

hard preservation, it is not easy for consumption of lychee, especially in the
current pandemic circumstance. Thus, the government and competent agencies in
the northern province of Bac Giang has paid special attention to improving the
product quality and expanding market for this sweet fruit since beginning of
the crop.
