Bac Giang’s lychee export assisted via Lang Son’s border gates

(BGO) - On May 10, the Vice Chairman of Bac Giang provincial People’s Committee (PPC) Phan The Tuan had a working session with the Lang Son PPC about assistance and linkage to export lychee to China. He was received by Vice Chairwoman of Lang Son PPC Doan Thu Ha.

Bac Giang provincial leader informed about lychee growing area of 28,300 ha in the province. Toward smooth export to China, he called for support from the PPC and competent agencies in Lang Son province to launch a bridge point and attend Bac Giang lychee consumption teleconference (scheduled on May 25); arrange and instruct the transit area, separate zone for people and vehicle transporting Bac Giang provincial lychees; prioritize route for lychee export at border gates; discuss with Chinese side to reopen Coc Nam and Chi Ma border gates.

He recommended the Commander of Lang Son provincial Border Guard and functional bodies directly in charge of border gate management to continue providing entry procedure assistance to Chinese traders coming to Bac Giang to buy lychee.

His counterpart Doan Thu Ha said over 900 vehicles are now waiting for export at local border gates, over 600 of which transport farm produce. Regarding lychee export, Lang Son prepared buffer zone at the border gates as well as waiting areas together with priority route to assist procedure implementation and travel from gathering site to km 0.

Currently, Lang Son PPC has prepared conditions to open online bridge point to connect and consume Bac Giang lychee while regularly exchanging with Chinese relevant organizations to remove difficulties, finalize the implementation of new customs clearance under flexible way so as to suit specific condition at each border gate and Covid-19 prevention requirement.

She requested Bac Giang PPC to pay due attention to prevent and control Covid-19 pandemic, disinfect the transport vehicles, ensure safe driver, enhance connectivity with Chinese businesses to join hands in boosting export activity while actively controlling and informing about the number of trucks to border gate every day to prevent the congestion and cost increase.

Bac Giang provincial leader Phan The Tuan thanked for the cooperation and linkage from Lang Son province in lychee export. He wished two localities to reinforce information exchange, support each other toward mutual socio-economic growth in general and lychee export in particular.

He affirmed to seriously follow requirement to ensure absolute safety for people and vehicles in charge of lychee transportation for export.

Bac Giang inks agreement to export Luc Ngan lychee to Europe

(BGO) - In Cau Den village, Thanh Hai commune, Viet France Agriculture Land Joint Stock Company (VFAL) has inked cooperative agreement with three lychee cooperatives and collectives in the communes of Thanh Hai, Quy Son and Tan Son (Luc Ngan district, Bac Giang province) to supply and consume Luc Ngan lychee to Europe in 2022.
