Yen The late ripening longan brand certified

(BGO) - The People’s Committee in Yen The district (Bac Giang province) on May 24 cooperated with the Department of Science and Technology (DoST) to announce the certified brand of “Yen The late ripening longan ”.

At the event, DoST leader handed over the Brand Registration Certificate “Yen The late ripening longan ” bestowed by National Office of Intellectual Property of Vietnam (Ministry of Science and Technology) to Yen The district People’s Committee.

The district handed over the brand using certificate to 20 longan growing organizations and individuals.

Now, the district has about 450 ha of longan. Total productivity hit 2,000 tonnes in 2021. The production area concentrates in 13 communes of Dong Tam, Dong Son, Dong Ky, Hong Ky, Tan Soi, Dong La, Dong Vuong, Tam Hiep, Tan Hiep, Huong Vy, An Thuong, Dong Huu and Phon Xuong town.

Yen The late ripening longan is grown mostly on riverside land. It has stable quality, sweet taste, thick flesh which is widely prefered by customers.

After being protected, the certified brand of Yen The late ripening longan will held enhance the commodity value, affirm quality, trademark and increase competitiveness on the market…

So dar, Yen The district has had three products with brand certification, including Yen The hill chicken, Yen The tea and Yen The late ripening longan.

First co-operative in Hung Yen to ship longan to Europe

The northern province of Hung Yen is to hold a virtual conference on July 15 to promote the sale of its longan and other agricultural produce to both the domestic and foreign markets.

 

Longan productivity estimated at over 20,000 tonnes

(BGO) – According to the Division of Plant Production and Protection (Department of Agriculture and Rural Development), with total area of more than 3,300 ha, the total longan productivity in Bac Giang province is estimated at over 20,000 tonnes of fruits, up 2,000 tonnes comparing to last crop figure.

 

Online trade conference on Vietnamese longan slated for mid-July

An international online trade conference on Vietnamese longan products is scheduled to take place on July 15 and 16, 2021 with the participation of 80 domestic and foreign enterprises, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT).
