(BGO) - As of
June 14, Bac Giang province sold more than 28,400 tonnes of lychee with high
price, including over 27,300 tonnes of early ripening lychee, reported the
provincial Department of Industry and Trade.
To date, the province has exported more than 14,800 tonnes of lychee, mostly to China. In the morning of June 15, local lychee was sold at high price of 20-32,000 VND per kg, nearly doubling the price at the same period last year.

Now, about 50 trucks carrying Bac Giang lychees pass Tan Thanh border gate in Lang Son to Chinese market. Amid restriction of Vietnamese commodity import for Covid-19 prevention and control from China side, the lychees are sold smoothly.
Tan Yen district has basically completed harvesting early ripening lychee with total quantity of 14,500 tonnes, up 1,000 tonnes against last year figure. The fruit was sold at 25 - 35,000 VND per kg, nearly doubling the price of previous season. Now, local farmers are caring for the trees in post harvest period.

Attractive tourism on lychee hub(BGO) - Luc Ngan
lychees are now at peak season. Apart from a destination for lychee trading and
consuming activities, Luc Ngan district (Bac Giang province) is also an
attracting land for many visitors. The tourism programme “Flavor of Luc Ngan
summer” is strongly and professionally promoted to lure more tourists to the
lychee hub.
Luc Ngan to ensure power supply and loans for lychee season(BGO)- In order to meet the demands for lychee
processing and consumption, Luc Ngan Electricity Branch (in northern province
of Bac Giang) and commercial banks in the district have worked out production
and business plans to prevent shortage, congestion and disruption of the supply
chain of goods and necessary services.

Luan in Hang Bong village, Hong Giang district, Luc Ngan district (Bac Giang
province) invested 200 million VND (over 8,600 USD) to install a lychee heat
pump dryer.
Luc Ngan promotes tourism on lychee season(BGO) - As schedule, Luc Ngan
district People’s Committee (Bac Giang province) plans to organize tourism
promotion programme themed “Flavor of Luc Ngan summer” in the middle of June
with the participation from 40 travel companies in and outside the province,
management officials, reporters of central and local press and media agencies.
