Two lychee growing area codes granted to export to Thailand

(BGO) - On authorization of Thailand competent agency, the Department of Plant Production and Protection issued two more lychee growing area codes (GAC) for export, reported Plant Production and Protection Division in Bac Giang province.

Two GAC were granted to Kien Thanh and Hong Giang communes in Luc Ngan district, covering 20ha with 12 participating households who cultivate lychee under VietGAP procedure.

A business conducted survey at these areas and planned to purchase the fruits to export to Thailand in the next 10 days. To date, the province has had more than 200 lychee GAC to export to Europe, the US, Japan and Thailand with total area of over 16,000 ha.

The lychees have been sold at several supermarkets and modern retail systems in the province with promotion and discount events.

Particularly, Go! Bac Giang Supermarket launched promotion programme from June 17-19 for fresh lychee buyers which helped sold over 300 kg of fruits.

The lychee growing area in Hong Giang commune (Luc Ngan district) is granted with growing area code for export.

Central Retail Group spends best position at all supermarkets nationwide to display Bac Giang lychee. As schedule, the Group will consume about 1,000 tonnes of lychee this year, in which Go!Bac Giang Supermarket sells about 100 kg of lychee per day.

Besides Co.opmart supermarket system plans to consume about 1,000 tonnes of lychee while the chain of Winmart, Winmart+ supermarket will sell about 500 tonnes of lychees.

(BGO) - So far, Tan Yen district has harvested over 90 percent of early ripening lychee and earned highest revenue ever, reported the district Division of Agriculture and Rural Development.
 
Youths volunteer to support lychee sale
(BGO) - At this time, lychees begin to be harvested. In order to support growers, the Bac Giang provincial Youth Union has directed its local chapters and affiliated units to set up volunteer youth teams to support digital transformation and sale of agricultural products, thereby helping farmers harvest lychees in time, and boost e-commerce application in lychee sale and promotion.
 
Attractive tourism on lychee hub
(BGO) - Luc Ngan lychees are now at peak season. Apart from a destination for lychee trading and consuming activities, Luc Ngan district (Bac Giang province) is also an attracting land for many visitors. The tourism programme “Flavor of Luc Ngan summer” is strongly and professionally promoted to lure more tourists to the lychee hub.
 
Bac Giang exports lychee to China via green zone
(BGO) - Bac Giang lychee is offered green zone to export to China, reported the provincial Department of Industry and Trade.
 
Luc Ngan to ensure power supply and loans for lychee season
(BGO)- In order to meet the demands for lychee processing and consumption, Luc Ngan Electricity Branch (in northern province of Bac Giang) and commercial banks in the district have worked out production and business plans to prevent shortage, congestion and disruption of the supply chain of goods and necessary services.
