Bac Giang lychee meets condition for all markets

(BGO) - To affirm the quality of lychee for export, the Plant Production and Protection Division (Division) in Bac Giang province took lychee samples for testing.

The Division took lychee samples (mostly in Tan Yen district because Luc Ngan lychees are late ripe) and sent to Hanoi based Eurofins Sac Ky Hai Dang Company Limited for analyzing and testing. It is one of few testing companies which can issue international certificate.

Bac Giang lychee is sold at several supermarkets.

The result proved that 821 indicators of plant protection product residue were qualified.

Vice Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Le Ba Thanh said with 821 qualified indicators, Bac Giang lychee meets all conditions for exporting and supplying to worldwide markets. Now, the Division is taking about 50 samples of Luc Ngan lychee for analyzing that will have result before the harvest season of main lychees.

So far, the province has sold about 30,000 tonnes of lychees with high selling price and ease consumption, most of which are early ripening lychees. The peak harvest time for main season lychee is scheduled in late June this year.

Bac Giang ensures lychee preliminary processing and packing specification for export

Tan Yen earns highest revenue from early ripening lychee

(BGO) - So far, Tan Yen district has harvested over 90 percent of early ripening lychee and earned highest revenue ever, reported the district Division of Agriculture and Rural Development.
