(BGO) - For nearly one month, lychees have been widely sold in the markets and streets of Sapa town (Lao Cai province), most of them are from Bac Giang province, confirmed the local traders.
At the Sapa central market, lychees were sold at dozen of points early in the morning. The customers are Dao ethnic people and tourists.

According to Dang Dinh Dung, Head of Sapa market Management Board, the lychees are sold at about 20 selling points with daily consumption of nearly 10 tonnes of lychee. There is huge demand from tourists and local people, especially on weekend with thousands of visitors flocking to the town.
Dung also informed that the daily consumption of lychee is now lower than last year quantity due to restriction from Chinese side imposing on fresh lychee via Lao Cai border gate.

Sapa central market is the main supply channel of major products for local residents and visitors. The restaurant and hotel daily buy huge quantity of lychee to serve customers.
The traders are recommended to buy high quality lychee from Bac Giang province to sell in Sapa and meet the demand for tourist and resident. It is also a chance to promote the special fruit to the visitors near and far.
