(BGO) – With effort to bring regional special fruits to domestic and foreign passengers and expand the cooperation with businesses and localities in promoting Vietnamese farm produce to the world, the national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines introduces Luc Ngan lychee (Bac Giang province) on in-flight menu after nearly two year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The fruit meeting VietGAP standard is being served to business class passengers on the national flag carrier’s domestic and international routes from Hanoi from July 1-15.

Vietnam Airlines selects VietGAP lychee grown in Luc Ngan district to serve on board. |
Since June 24, Vietnam Airlines has coordinated with Bac Giang province to promote lychee consumption on e-commerce platform VNAMall. The customers placing order of GlobalGAP Luc Ngan lychee that meets export standard to Japan on the platform will have the fruits shipped to the home address in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh city or directly receive them at the airport.
Besides, Vietnam Airlines always prioritizes the lychees by creating separate serving route for the fruit to shorten down the time from receiving to shipping, ensuring service quality, taking at most advantage of load capacity and exploitation safety.
Bac Giang lychee has been “seated” on passenger cabin for many times to increase the transportation load together with the position in the cargo compartment. The logistics solutions from the airline give big support for lychee consumption.
