Luc Nam realizes model to grow yellow flower tea under chestnut tree

(BGO) – The Agriculture Encouragement Center in Bac Giang province has handed over 7,200 yellow flower tea seedlings to the households participating in the model “Growing forestry crop and linking for consumption of yellow flower tea in 2022” in Diem Ren village, Truong Son commune (Luc Nam district).

It was cooperated by the Agriculture Encouragement Center and Luc Nam Center of Agriculture Service and Technique to implement in 6 hectares of land under the canopy of the chestnut trees.

Representative of Toan Nam Forestry Company Limited in Yen The district hands over yellow flower tea seedlings to local people.

At the same time, the Agriculture Encouragement Center supplied more than one ton of Lam Thao NPK fertilizer to 12 participating households who were provided with 100 percent of the seedling cost, 70 percent of fertilizer and training course about cultivation technique with total expense of nearly 270 million VND (11,600 USD).

The model aims to synchronously transfer and apply technical method to grow forestry crop with high productivity and quality, create stable commodity material area to enhance value and economic efficiency for local people.

Now, Luc Nam district has more than 30 hectares of yellow flower tea. The district People’s Committee defined it as local crop with high economic value because it suits the climate and soil condition in the localities having huge forest area under Yen Tu mountain.
