People’s Committee in district and city to approve for the evaluation result of 3 star OCOP product

(BGO) – Since 2023, the People’s Committee in the districts and city will evaluate and classify three-star products under One Commune One Product programme (OCOP) as well as organize ceremony to announce and hand over the certificate to the winners, reported the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development in Bac Giang province.

Accordingly, the jury board will be established in each locality to judge and classify OCOP product at district level together with consultant and assistance team. The jury board evaluates, classifies the products then submits to the Chairman of the People’s Committee in districts and city who is in charge of approving for the evaluation result of three star rated products (scoring 50 to under 70).

Regarding products scored over 70 to 100 (4 star and above), the district jury board will send document to provincial level for evaluation and classification. It is new feature in the judging procedure for OCOP products, helping increase the activeness for localities.

By the end of 2022, Bac Giang had 205 OCOP products with at least 3 star rating, 31 of which were rated four star and the remaining were three star (up 73 products year on year).

OCOP program creates driving force for rural economic development

(BGO) - The provincial People's Committee issued a Decision on approving the implementation of the "One Commune One Product (OCOP) Program" in Bac Giang province for the 2018-2020 period, with a vision to 2030. The decision was to realise the Prime Minister's Decision, dated June 29, 2018, on approving the "One Commune One Product Program" for the 2018-2020 period.
