To meet the demand for traders, Loi Lien Plastic Company Limited has invested over 300,000 USD to install three plastic basket production lines with total capacity of 10,000 pieces per day and night. The production line was imported from China with verification from authority.
In early May 2023, the company will operate the production line to produce 5 to 6 million pieces of plastic baskets (each can contain 8 to 15kg of lychee without stem) to pack fresh lychee for export.
Huang Shiwen, a Chinese trader said: “Last year, I had to transport plastic baskets from China to Luc Ngan with high additional cost so I only bought 700 tonnes of lychee. This year, the purchasing will be more smooth because the plastic basket is available”.
