the year, people in craft villages across Bac Giang province are busy producing
goods to meet market demand. A vibrant atmosphere overwhelms everywhere from
craft villages making household appliances to those engaging in food processing.
On November 29, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) inscribed "The art of pottery making of the Cham people" onto the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding, making it the 15th intangible cultural heritage of Vietnam to be recognised by UNESCO.

(BGO) – As of 2021, 12 out of 39 craft
villages in Bac Giang province have the Recognition certificates of craft
village revoked due to many reasons. Now, only few villages are effectively operating.
To preserve and promote the craft villages so as to ensure income for people,
it is necessary to have Government support in land, capital and market among
others.
