At the working session, Le Truong Thuy, Director of the Mai Chau Hydropower Joint Stock Company - the investor, briefed on the company’s financial capacity as well as its experience in developing wind power. Accordingly, the enterprise boasts many years of partnership with Enertrag Aktiengesellschaft Company of Germany and has carried out many successful wind power projects in several southern provinces.

Preliminary research shows that the wind potential of Bac Giang is suitable for wind power development. Therefore, the company wants to survey and study the topography thoroughly to invest in a wind power project in the province with a total expected capacity of 300MW. In addition, with its available strengths, it also hopes to implement a project to raise commercial beef cattle using clean technology in Tan Trung commune (Tan Yen district) in combination with microbiological organic fertilizer production. The commercial beef cattle raising project is expected to have three phases. The first phase will have an investment capital of about 50 billion VND (2.17 million USD), raising 1,000-2,000 heads; the second, 100 billion VND (4.34 million USD) and 5,000 heads; and the third one, 200 billion VND (8.68 million USD) and 10,000 heads.

After hearing the investor's proposal, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Le Anh Duong emphasized that currently wind power development is being encouraged by the Government because it not only creates clean energy but also makes beautiful landscape in the project area. Moreover, the planning and implementation of investment projects on wind power production is consistent with the energy development and investment attraction orientation of the province in the coming time.

He informed that an enterprise has registered to invest in wind power development in Bac Giang, but its location does not coincide with the position proposed by the Mai Chau Hydropower Joint Stock Company. Therefore, the province agrees to allow the company to conduct a survey. He assigned Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Phan The Tuan to be in charge of this matter, directing concerned departments and agencies to coordinate with and create conditions for the business to implement the prescribed procedures.

On this occasion, the provincial leader presented gifts to the investor and wind power experts of the Mai Chau Hydropower Joint Stock Company.
