Nearly 65.7 million USD invested to build Dong Viet bridge

(BGO) – The People’s Committee in Bac Giang province has approved for the project to build Dong Viet bridge and its path in Yen Dung district with total investment of nearly 1,500 billion VND (65.7 million USD) from provincial budget and local government bond.

Accordingly, the first point (Km0+00) intersects DH.5B road at Km0+754.51 in Canh Thuy commune (Yen Dung district), passes Duc Giang and Dong Phuc urban, service and industrial parks, crosses over Thuong river (about 2.4km away from downstream of Dong Viet ferry).

The last point (Km8+ 590) connects to plan road in Hung Dao commune, Chi Linh city, Hai Duong province (linking to the investment project to build the path of Dong Viet bridge and national road No.37 in Chi Linh city invested by Hai Duong provincial People’s Committee).

The project totally stretches 8.59 km, including 7.86 km of paths in both sides. It is designed as second grade delta road with bed of 22m and surface of 21.5m. Dong Viet bridge is over 730m long with reinforced and prestressed concrete structure, HL93 load, and bridge width of 22.5m.

The Management Board for transport and agriculture investment and construction project in Bac Giang province acts as the project investor. It will be executed in the period 2022 – 2025 and commenced on the occasion of April 30, 2022.

After completion, the project will drive the socio-economic growth for the East South region of Bac Giang province, recover the travel difficulties, accelerate the commodity trade exchange and tourism development, create favorable condition to lure investors to provincial industrial parks and clusters.

Besides, it contributes to completing traffic infrastructure system in line with the transport development orientation of Bac Giang province till 20300 with the vision to 2050.
