On April 9th, Bac Giang provincial People’s Committee coordinated with Japanese enterprises in Bac Giang, Japan Embassy in Vietnam, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Japan Business Association in Vietnam (JBA), Japan External Trade Organization in Vietnam (JETRO) to hold Japanese Cultural Exchange in Bac Giang province

Attending the festival, on behalf of Japanese side, there was Ms. Yoko Anazawa – Head of Press and Culture sector, Japan Embassy in Vietnam; Ms. Yoko Tsuruya – First Secretary of Japan Embassy in Vietnam; Mr. Atsusuke Kawada – Chief Representative of JETRO Vietnam; Mr. Chikahiro Masuda – Deputy Chief Representative of JICA Vietnam; Mr. Mizuno Takasi – Chief Advisor of Vietnam-Japan Human Resources Cooperation Center (VJCC).
Regarding Bac Giang province side, the festival was attended by Mr. Nguyen Van Linh, Vice Secretary of the provincial Party committee cum Chairman of the Provincial People’s committee; Mr. Lai Thanh Son, Standing Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s committee; members of the Provincial Standing Party Committee, standing member of Provincial People’s Council, the provincial Father Front; leaders of the provincial departments, sectors , unions and ac Giang people.
Delivering speech at the opening ceremony, Mr. Naya Setsuo – Senior Volunteer of JICA, Chairman of the Executive Committee, emphasized Japanese cultural exchange would contribute to promoting relations of solidarity, friendship and cooperation among people of the two countries generally, Japanese enterprises doing business in Bac Giang province with Bac Giang government and people particularly. Whereby, the image of countries and people would be popularized in order to enhance cultural understanding between the two peoples, develop potentials and inspire cooperation and exchanges in various fields.
Joining Japanese cultural exchange, Bac Giang people and neighboring provinces had a chance to enjoy, experience and exchange with a rich and interesting Japanese culture such as musical instrument performances, traditional Japanese martial arts, tea ceremony, flower arranging, origami, calligraphy, screening of “Blowing in the wind in Vietnam", etc. At the same time, the other activities like cuisine exchange, product display booths of Japanese enterprises in Bac Giang and Japan's AEON supermarket in Hanoi were warmly welcomed. The festival left much good impression to the audience and visitors to the display booths of products made in Japan.
Speaking at the cultural exchange, Standing Vice Chairman of Bac Giang provincial People’s Committee Lai Thanh Son affirmed this cultural event would contribute to tightening relationships between Japanese enterprises, investors and Bacgiang government and people, fostering good relations between the two countries. He also hoped that, there would be many activities to meet and exchange between the two sides to enhance mutual understanding in the upcoming time towards establishing Vietnam- Japan Friendship Association of Bac Giang province and establishing cooperative friendship relation between Bac Giang province and Japanese localities. Bac Giang provincial leaders would always create the most favorable conditions to support and develop relationships with Japanese partners and investors in the province.
Ms. Yoko Anazawa - Head of the Press and Culture sector, Japan Embassy in Vietnam stressed the cooperation between Vietnam and Japan was currently in the fine development. Therefore, in order to continue developing that fine relationship, it was essential to step up cultural exchanges, enhance customs understanding of the two peoples Vietnam – Japan in line with promoting diplomatic activities between the two governments. Even though this today's program did not introduce the entire special features of Japanese culture to Bac Giang people, it also gave Bac Giang people a chance to access some typical traditional arts of the sun-rising land. In contrast, Japanese people living and working in Bac Giang Province and some neighboring provinces also understood more about Bac Giang culture through traditional folk songs of the province.
In the atmosphere full of Japanese culture, Japanese Cultural Exchange 2016 was a cultural highlight to promote relations of solidarity, friendship and cooperation between the two countries. Whereby, the image of countries and people would be popularized in order to enhance cultural understanding between the two peoples, develop potentials and inspire cooperation contributing to the process of cultural integration between Japan and Vietnam generally and Bac Giang province particularly.
