(BGO) – The Vice Chairman of the Bac Giang provincial People’s Committee Le Anh Duong on February 9 participated in and witnessed the welcome and procession ceremonies of three statues of Truc Lam Zen Sect founders from Nam Dinh province to Vinh Nghiem pagoda (Yen Dung). The event was attended by leaders from several provincial departments, sectors, the People’s Committees in the districts of Yen Dung and Son Dong as well as numerous Buddhist followers.

There included three statues of Truc Lam Zen Sect founders cast by craftsmen in Y Yen district (Nam Dinh) from the bronze material. The Buhhist Emperor Tran Nhan Tong was cast in his sitting position weighing 700 kilograms while the two others statues of Phap Loa and Huyen Quang were made in their standing posture with the weight of 300 kilograms individually.

After a prompt working session, the statues were welcomed safely to place at Vinh Nghiem Pagoda. As the schedule, they will be processed to Ha pagoda (Tay Yen Tu complex) in Tuan Mau commune (Son Dong) on February 26 (Lunar January 11).

Truc Lam Zen Sect is closely attached to the first founder (Buddhist Emperor Tran Nhan Tong), second founder (most venerable Phap Loa) and third founder (Successor Huyen Quang); thus well known as three ancestors of Truc Lam Zen Sect.
