The summer programme has attracted around 90 ethnic people from 12 groups in the region, including Ta Oi, Co Tu, Raglai, Raglai, and Kho Mu, among others.

The highlight of the programme is the reproduction of a traditional rural market on July 27, 28 and 29, where children will have the opportunity to taste traditional Vietnamese cakes and desserts, as well as learn traditional crafts and play folk games of the ethnic groups.

From 9AM to 10AM and 3AM to 4PM every day, from July 7 to 31, visitors can take a tour of the village’s exhibition house, pine tree hill, Centre Highlands’ water wharf, and villages of the Gia Rai and Gie Trieng tribes. The tours are open for groups of tourists only.

As part of the tours, visitors are invited to try their hands at making pottery products of the Cham people and make the traditional cakes of the Ta Oi, Tay and Thai people.

A painting contest, under the theme ‘Central Highlands in my eyes’, will take place on July 16 and 17, encouraging children aged from 6 to 15 to paint and feature the landscape, living space and culture of the Central Highlands region. The best entries of the contest will be awarded on September 1 this year.

Notably, children visiting the village on July 7-8 and July 21-22 can register for a free training course on experiencing the Buddhist monastic life. During the two-day courses, the participants will learn about Buddhist rituals and Buddha’s teachings on humanism and being a well-behaved child.
