Vietnamese kids synchronously move Asia’s Got Talent audience

Vietnamese boy-girl duo Once Upon A Time perfectly executed an intricately choreographed piece to wow a semifinal Asia’s Got Talent audience.

The first semifinals of Asia's Got Talent, which aired Thursday, featured an acrobatic and graceful act from Once Upon A Time, a girl-boy duo aged 9 and 10, in an incarnation of evil circus clowns.

Nine year old Gia Nhu (l) and 10 year old Anh Duc.

Nine-year-old Gia Nhu gave everyone a start with a trapeze drop, and then the two demonstrated great flexibility and skill with Latin dance steps.

"I loved their performance so much during the auditions. I thought that what else can they bring, you know. But tonight, it was a very different performance, but I still love you very very much," raved Indonesian music icon Anggun.

"This performance, it really sealed the complexity between the two of them. That was excellent," she said.

"At nine and ten years old, let me tell you, the level of focus and concentration you guys have when you perform is amazing. It's incredible. You definitely upped your game from the judges audition and I loved the whole performance," said Korean singer Jay Park, reserving special words of praise for Anh Duc for his "dangerous hips".

The two junior dancers also charmed the crowd and judges with confident, uninhibited replies. Once Upon A Time have won several prizes in talent shows for kids and junior dance competitions in Vietnam.

The results of their semifinal performance will be known after public voting ends Sunday. A total of nine finalists will be decided, based on public voting on the official fan page of Asia's Got Talent. Two other Vietnamese representatives, the LifeDance team and Hanoi X-Girls, have also passed the audition round at Asia's Got Talent 2019.
