Phu Yen Culture – Tourism Week 2019 to open soon

The Phu Yen Culture – Tourism Week 2019 will take place in the south-central province of Phu Yen from March 27 – April 5, as part of the activities in response to National Tourism Year 2019. 

The event will be also meant to mark the 44th anniversary of the province’s liberation day (April 1) and the 30th anniversary of the province’s reestablishment (July 1).

The week will feature a cross-country tournament conquering Da Bia mountain, local tourism, cuisine and specialty fair, a kite-flying festival, a street music festival, a bai choi singing festival, a local culinary culture festival, mostly in Tuy Hoa city and Dong Hoa district.

There will be 100 stalls by 10 cities and provinces introducing local cuisine and tourist products.

Visitors will have a chance to tour popular destinations such as Xuan Dai Bay, Da Dia Reef, Bai Mon – Mui Dien, and Thap Nhan Tower.

Deputy Director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Pham Van Bay said the event has been prepared thoroughly and is considered a signature tourist product.

This year, the local tourism sector set the goal of attracting over 1.6 million visitors and earning 1.9 trillion VND (82.6 million USD) in revenue.
