Various activities held in Hanoi’s Old Quarter to celebrate Lunar New Year

The traditional flower market on Hang Luoc Street, Hoan Kiem District, officially opened on January 19 as part of the activities in celebration of Tet (Lunar New Year) Festival in Hanoi’s Old Quarter.

Hang Luoc Flower Market is a long-standing activity, featuring not only familiar flowers for Tet Festival such as peach blossoms and kumquats but also a range of antiques.

Phung Hung mural painting street is decorated to celebrate Tet Festival.

Going to Hang Luoc Flower Market is a familiar custom for citizens of Hanoi’s Old Quarter.

On the occasion, various attractive activities have been held at Phung Hung mural painting street including an exhibition of handicrafts and products from trade villages, folk paintings, and calligraphy.

Amid the complicated development of Covid-19 pandemic, the Hoan Kiem District People’s Committee has developed and implemented measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 pandemic at the flower market and mural painting street.

An art performance to open the Hang Luoc flower market and activities on Phung Hung mural painting street.

The activities will last until January 31, contributing to preserving and promoting the cultural values of Hanoians as well as creating entertainment spaces for people during Tet.
