Many highlights at Vinh Nghiem pagoda festival in 2022

(BGO) – As schedule, Vinh Nghiem pagoda festival will be held on March 14 – 16 (Lunar February 12 – 14, 2022) in Tri Yen commune, Yen Dung district (Bac Giang province). To ensure Covid-19 prevention and control, only ceremonies of this year festival will be organized with several highlights.

The festival will be held solemnly, safely and economically with major activities of offering procession in line with pagoda ritual, incense offering ceremony to Tam bao; visit to woodblocks preservation and exhibition building, rare documentary and images of Vinh Nghiem pagoda in different periods. Besides, the pagoda opens for visitors.

Only the ceremony part of Vinh Nghiem pagoda festival in 2022 will be held.

At the festival, the district People’s Committee will announce the Decision of the Prime Minister to approve for the Plan to preserve and promote the value of national special relic Vinh Nghiem pagoda.

The Plan takes Vinh Nghiem pagoda as center with adjacent villages which represent the extended landscape around the relic, featuring Truc Lam, Bo De, Tung Lam and Thong Lam meditation gardens.

The overall perspective of the Plan to preserve and promote the value of national special relic Vinh Nghiem pagoda.

The competent agencies of Yen Dung district drafted the specific plan and programme to organize the festival in close attachment to actual situation. The pagoda landscape is beautified, the campus is clean up. The woodblock preservation and exhibition building is invested to upgrade and re-organize to ensure aesthetic.
