(BGO) - In implementation of the Resolution of the district Executive Party Committee on tourism development in 2021-2025 period, Yen Dung district in northern province of Bac Giang has reinforced resources to repair, embellish and upgrade the ranked relic system.
Accordingly, 10 relics have been improved at total fund of some 34.3 billion VND (1.5 million USD) in recent 1 year including about 3.4 billion VND (147,826 USD) from the provincial budget, 750 million VND (32,609 USD) from the district’s budget and the rest mobilized from the society.

The improved relics include Kem pagoda, Thanh Nhan temple, Ba Tong communal house (in Nham Bien township), Da Hy temple (in Lang Son commune), Canh My pagoda (in Canh Thuy commune), Am Duong communal house (in Tan An township), Binh Luong pagoda (in Dong Viet commune), Yen Tap Cao pagoda (in Yen Lu commune), Xuan Dam communal house (in Xuan Phu commune) and Ngoc Long pagoda (in Quynh Son commune). Of which, Thanh Nhan has been embellished at a fund of more than 13.5 billion VND (587,000 USD) which has been totally mobilized from social resources.
Besides, the district spent 1.5 billion VND (65,217 USD) to complete the project on Exhibition of the woodblocks at Vinh Nghiem pagoda (Tri Yen commune) including upgrading the exhibition house, re-designing the display cabinets, placing models and panels.
In addition, the district collaborated with competent agencies of the province to make dossiers to request for ranking the relics with historical, cultural, architectural and aesthetic values in the locality.

So far, Noi pagoda in Duc Giang commune was ranked provincial-level relic while the district is finalizing the scientific documentation to request for recognition of tunnels’ site of Long Tri village (Tan An town) as the national relic.
To date, the district is home to 83 recognized relics including 2 national relics, 2 special national relics and other provincial-level ones. The improvement and rebellishment contributed to timely handling degradation, heightening sustainability and preserving the original values while ensuring longevity of the relics, thereby bettering conservation and promotion of the recognized historical and cultural relics.
