A programme to promote the culture, people and tourism of the northern province of Bac Ninh began in the pedestrian area around Hoan Kiem Lake in the capital of Hanoi on September 23.
Featured within the programme were the most unique art performances of Quan ho (love duet) singing, one of the world's intangible cultural heritages.

The programme also features 40 pavilions introducing products from traditional trade villages in Bac Ninh Province such as Phu Lang pottery, Dong Ho folk painting, Xuan Hoi rattan and bamboo, and Dai Bai bronze casting. In addition, specialties and agricultural products from various localities in the province including Cho Village rice cakes, Dinh To soy sauce, Phu the (husband and wife) cake, and banh gio (a cake made from glutinous rice soaked in ash water) from Dap Cau Village.
A special space was arranged to honour Quan ho singing with many activities including singing and making phoenix-wing-shaped betel leaves.
On the occasion, visitors to the programme will be introduced to tourism potentials and tours of Bac Ninh Province.
The programme aims to leave the best impressions on both domestic and international visitors about the northern locality with its long-standing culture and beautiful heritages.
