(BGO)- Being trained and challenging themselves at “Song Thuong singing contest”, a number of singers have become more confident and gained success on their journey of art. For many champions at the contest, the days in Bac Giang left them unforgettable memory.

Shining dulcet voice

In the final night ot Sao Mai 2022, the girl from Hung Yen province Pham Thi Lan Quynh (born in 1998) was crown champion at chamber music. Despite her close schedule at studying and perfomances, this young singer is modest and enthusiastic to share about her love for music to everyone.

Her passion for music helped Lan Quynh to overcome all difficulties and challenges to complete her study cirriculum in both vocal and pedagogical faculties at the National University of Art Education.

At “Song Thuong singing contest” 2 years ago, Lan Quynh defeated many contestants to win the first prize. She thought the contest gave her opportunity to experience and learn to become more professional in performance and communication.

After the unforgettable days in Bac Giang, Lan Quynh continued to enrich her knowledge and study for master degree at Vietnam National Academy of Music. Apart from her study schedule, this girl also takes part in the art groups and music contests to learn experience and enrich her knowledge. Before each contest, Lan Quynh often chose the songs that fit her vocal and ask for comments from her teachers and friends to become more confident at performance. Thus, she has achieved many high prizes at the singing contests such as Student singing contest, Sao Mai Hai Phong and Vietnam Sao Mai contest.

“The victory was the first step for me to continue making efforts to realize my dream to become a professional opera artist and get closer to audiences”, said the singer.

The young singer added, she will always keep the same spirit to conquer the new heights.

In the final night of “Song Thuong singing contest” 2019, Nguyen Truong Linh, a young man from the land of coal mines Quang Ninh became famous with the song “Nguyen Viet Xuan ca nuoc yeu thuong” (Nguyen Viet Xuan, loved by the whole nation) by Nguyen Duc Toan thanks to his strong vocal and confident performance style. After winning the contest at chamber music, Truong Linh has confidently stepping on his journey of art.

Since he was at high school and the Vietnam Youth Academy, the boy born in 1995 has proactively joined the cultural and art events and some music contests but he had not gained any high prizes. Until he studies at Vietnam National Academy of Music, Truong Linh has practiced his vocal and performance style and he has much improved.

Linh challenged himself with participating the music contest in Bac Giang and gained success. Since then, he achieved consecutive improvement such as the third prize at Vietnam- China Friendship Singing Contest 2019, gold prize at the National Talent Contest for art students in 2020 and champion at Sao Mai Quang Ninh 2022.

Currently, Nguyen Truong Linh is working at Vietnam Song and Dance Theatre and studying final year at Vietnam National Academy of Music, major of classical music. With his good vocal, professional performance style and pretty appearance, Linh has been invited to take part in many big programmes.

The young man from Quang Ninh province has always expressed good sentiments to the land and people of Bac Giang. Also at “Song Thuong singing contest” 2019, Truong Linh was awarded best singing about Bac Giang thanks to his emotional performance. with the song “Ve Bac Giang” (Coming to Bac Giang).
